About the role

Dental Flossophy is seeking an Experienced Dental Assistant to join our team on a full time or part time basis at our Corinda, QLD practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled dental professional to contribute to our commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence. As an Experienced Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dental practitioners, enhancing the patient experience, and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

What you'll be doing

- Providing comprehensive chairside assistance to dentists during patient treatments and procedures

- Preparing and sterilising dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols

- Taking and processing dental radiographs and intraoral photographs as directed by the dentist

- Recording patient treatment details accurately in electronic health records and maintaining comprehensive clinical notes

- Assisting with patient assessment and triage, including vital signs monitoring when required

- Managing patient comfort during procedures, including application of topical anaesthetics and suction assistance

- Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient treatment area throughout the working day

- Supporting the dentist with treatment planning discussions and patient education

- Performing general administrative duties including scheduling, patient communication and reception support

- Ensuring compliance with all relevant dental regulations, occupational health and safety standards, and infection control procedures

What we're looking for

- Minimum of 2–3 years' experience working as a dental assistant in a clinical setting

- Proficiency in dental terminology and comprehensive knowledge of common dental procedures and treatments

- Excellent manual dexterity and ability to work precisely in a fast-paced environment

- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients,



dentists and team members

- Demonstrated commitment to infection control and sterilisation protocols

- Proficiency in dental practice management software and computer systems

- Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively whilst maintaining attention to detail

- A caring, patient-focused approach to providing dental support

- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR qualification (desirable)
