Brisbane | $60 to $70/hr + Super + Company Vehicle or Allowance

Take ownership of major commercial landscaping projects across Brisbane with an established contractor offering excellent remuneration, autonomy and long-term stability.

About the Company

Our client is a well-established, family-owned commercial landscaping business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across Brisbane and South East Queensland.

Working alongside some of Australia's leading builders and developers, they deliver a diverse range of commercial landscaping projects, including schools, industrial developments, government facilities, high-rise developments and large-scale residential communities.

With a strong pipeline of ongoing work and multiple projects underway, they are looking for an experienced Senior Landscape Site Supervisor to take ownership of projects across Brisbane.

This is an opportunity to join a stable, respected business where your experience, initiative and ability to deliver quality work will be genuinely valued.

About the Role

This is a senior, hands-on supervisory position suited to an experienced commercial landscaper who knows how to run a job from start to finish.

You'll be responsible for coordinating daily site activities, managing crews and subcontractors, organising materials and machinery, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

While you'll have responsibility for overseeing site operations, this isn't a role where you'll spend your day sitting in a site office. You'll be actively involved in the work when required, leading from the front and ensuring your team has everything needed to get the job done.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of commercial landscaping projects.
- Plan and supervise site activities in line with construction programs and project deadlines.
- Lead and coordinate landscapers, apprentices, labourers and subcontractors.
- Allocate daily tasks, monitor productivity and maintain an productive workflow.
- Interpret landscape construction drawings, specifications and planting schedules.
- Coordinate machinery, materials and deliveries, including site access, unloading and material placement.
- Oversee drainage, irrigation,

soil preparation, planting and soft landscaping works.
- Operate machinery and assist with hands-on landscaping activities when required.
- Liaise directly with builders, site managers and other trades, including attending site coordination meetings.
- Identify potential delays, resolve site issues and plan ahead to keep projects moving.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, site safety and presentation.
- Provide regular progress updates and communicate upcoming resource requirements to management.

You'll be trusted to manage your sites independently, with the support of an experienced management team who understand the industry and remain actively involved in the business.

Projects You'll Work On

The company delivers a broad range of commercial landscaping projects, including:

- New schools and educational facilities.
- Government buildings and public infrastructure.
- Commercial and industrial developments.
- Factories, warehouses and distribution facilities.
- High-rise and multi-residential developments.
- Large-scale residential and townhouse communities.
- Aged-care and community facilities.

The role is Brisbane-based, with projects predominantly located throughout inner-city Brisbane and surrounding suburbs, as well as the greater Brisbane region.

Requirements

About You

We're looking for an experienced landscaping professional who combines strong technical knowledge with practical leadership skills.

You'll be someone who can look at a set of plans, understand what's required, organise the people and resources, and confidently deliver the finished product.

Ideally, you'll bring:

- Proven experience supervising commercial landscape construction projects.
- A strong practical landscaping background, with the ability to lead by example.
- Experience managing crews, subcontractors, machinery and material deliveries.
- Confidence interpreting landscape drawings,

specifications and construction programs.
- Strong knowledge of drainage, irrigation, soil preparation, planting and general landscape construction.
- The ability to plan ahead, manage competing priorities and meet project deadlines.
- Confidence communicating directly with builders, site managers and other trades.
- Strong organisational skills, accountability and attention to detail.
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to work alongside your team.
- A current driver's licence and Construction White Card.
- Good plant knowledge and the ability to interpret planting schedules.

A formal landscaping qualification would be well regarded, although extensive practical experience and a proven ability to successfully deliver commercial landscaping projects are equally important.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who can take responsibility for a project, think ahead and get the job done without needing constant supervision.

You don't need to come from a large corporate contractor. If you've been successfully running jobs for a smaller commercial landscaping business and are ready for an opportunity offering greater autonomy and excellent remuneration, we'd be keen to hear from you.

Benefits

What's on Offer

- $60 to $70 per hour + superannuation, depending on experience and capability.
- Choice of company vehicle or vehicle allowance, depending on your preference.
- Permanent, full-time employment.
- Consistent hours, typically 40 to 45 per week.
- Strong pipeline of commercial projects providing long-term job security.
- Autonomy to manage your own sites and make day-to-day decisions.
- Direct communication with the business owner and support when required.
- Work alongside established builders and developers across SEQ.
- A practical, down-to-earth working environment without unnecessary layers of management.
