Create Your Legacy. /n United Steel is seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join our team and take ownership of business growth across the Perth region. /n We are looking for a motivated sales professional who enjoys being out in the field, meeting customers face-to-face and building lasting business partnerships /n

About the Role
/n Reporting to the State Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities while managing and growing existing customer relationships across a diverse range of industries throughout WA region. /n You will take ownership of your sales territory, develop a strong understanding of customer requirements and deliver tailored steel solutions that create value for both customers and the business. /n Your responsibilities will include: /n /n
- Identifying, developing and securing current business opportunities across WA /n
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective customers. /n
- Conducting regular customer visits and face-to-face meetings to strengthen business partnerships. /n
- Understanding customer requirements and providing tailored steel product solutions. /n
- Preparing quotations, negotiating pricing and successfully closing sales opportunities. /n
- Working closely with internal sales, operations and customer service teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes. /n
- Managing and maintaining an active sales pipeline, ensuring consistent follow-up and conversion of opportunities. /n
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and identifying opportunities for business growth. /n
- Ensuring customers receive a high level of service, support and communication. /n
- Contributing to the ongoing growth, profitability and success of the business. /n /n About You /n To be successful in this role, you will bring: /n /n




- Previous experience in Business Development, Account Management or Industrial Distribution Sales. /n
- Strong knowledge of the flat rolled sheet and coil market in addition to structural steel, tubular steel, merchant bar and associated steel products. /n
- Experience selling within a fast-paced industrial, steel, manufacturing or construction environment. /n
- A genuine passion for building customer relationships and conducting face-to-face sales activities. /n
- A strong customer service focus and commitment to delivering on promises. /n
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills. /n
- A self-motivated, commercially aware and results-driven approach. /n
- The ability to work autonomously, manage your own territory and contribute positively to a team environment. /n
