Workers Comp & WID Lawyer – Build a New Practice

Title and salary scale with experience: Associate, Senior Associate or Special Counsel. THE OFFER $180K–$270K plus super base plus an uncapped, formula-based written bonus. Build and run a brand-new workers compensation and work injury damages practice. 3 days from home, every week. As your practice grows: two dedicated paralegals and a legal secretary. WHY THIS ROLE We’re building a new WC/WID practice from the ground up. Bringing in clients isn’t the hard part for us; our intake team delivers the leads. What we need is a lawyer who can turn that into a high‑performing practice, and we pay for it. This suits someone who wants to build something. You’ll shape how the practice runs, who joins it, and how far it goes. If you want to lead a team, that path is open and paid accordingly. Full‑time or four‑day options available. THE ROLE Run your own caseload of concurrent workers compensation and WID matters from intake to resolution. Build the practice in your own proven successful style: file flow and, as it grows, the team under you. Mentor juniors and lead if you want to step up. WHAT’S IN YOUR CONTRACT Capped file load: maximum 200 active files. If volume grows, we hire, not redistribute. Transparent pay and bonus: formula-based, written down, uncapped. Dedicated support: two paralegals and a legal secretary as the practice grows. Real hybrid: three days a week from home. In‑building parking, ten minutes from Parramatta station. Up-to-date systems: Smokeball, automated workflows, AI‑assisted drafting and research. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE 2+ years post‑admission in WC and WID. More experienced lawyers wanting to lead are encouraged to apply; title and salary scale accordingly. Proven ability to run files end‑to‑end. Current NSW practising certificate. Committed to plaintiff‑side work and client outcomes. Communicates straight, without ego. Wants to be measured on results.
