Everest Eatery Hobart is seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our team in Hobart. This is a full-time position offering an annual salary between $80,000 – $85,000 plus superannuation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan menus and estimate food and labour costs
- Order and manage food supplies
- Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Liaise with Managers, Dietitians, kitchen and waiting staff regarding food preparation
- Demonstrate cooking techniques and advise on preparation procedures
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Train and supervise kitchen staff where requiredPreserve and store food appropriately

Requirements:

- At least 1 year of relevant work experience as a Chef
- Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or related field
- Robust knowledge of food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
