About Us For over 20 years, Lindsay Civil Pty Ltd has been a trusted leader in the ASP industry, delivering underground electrical infrastructure projects throughout Sydney. Specialising in electrical reticulation, utility installations and infrastructure upgrades, our teams play a vital role in keeping Sydney's communities connected and powered.

Due to a steadily increasing workload and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, we are seeking Cable Layers and Trades Assistants to join our team based in Gregory Hills.

Whether you're already experienced in cable laying and utility construction, or you're looking to build a long-term career in the electrical infrastructure industry, we'd like to hear from you.

About the Role Working as part of our underground electrical infrastructure crews, your duties may include:

Cable laying and conduit installation

Trench preparation and backfilling

Installation of electrical pits, pillars and street lighting infrastructure

Reading and interpreting construction plans

Assisting Cable Jointers and Excavator Operators

Site preparation and clean-up

Working safely around existing underground services

Essential Requirements

White Card

Current Driver Licence

Strong work ethic and positive attitude

Reliable and punctual

Ability to work effectively within a team

Commitment to safe work practices

Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors

Highly Regarded





Previous cable laying experience

Conduit or pipe installation experience

Civil construction experience

Experience working around underground services

MR Licence

HIAB or small crane experience

Utility, electrical or subdivision experience

No Experience? No Problem. We understand that not everyone comes from the utility construction industry.

If you're motivated, reliable and willing to learn, we'll provide training and support to help you develop the skills needed for a successful career in electrical infrastructure construction. Many of our employees have started in entry-level roles and progressed into specialist positions within the business. Training opportunities are available for the right candidates.
