About the Role Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the finance and accounting functions of the business. This position offers exposure to a wide range of accounting activities and the opportunity to develop your technical and commercial capabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting with month-end and year-end financial reporting
Preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities
Maintaining fixed asset registers
Preparing and analysing financial reports
Supporting internal audits and process improvements
Ensuring accurate and timely financial data management
About You To succeed in this role, you will bring:
Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar accounting role
Qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or progress towards CPA or CA accreditation
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
A proactive approach and willingness to learn
Experience in automotive retail, dealership accounting, or a multi-site environment will be highly regarded
