RFBI Bathurst is seeking an experienced individual who is interested in working across our Catering and Hotel Services departments on a part-time basis. Within this dynamic role, you will assist across our catering, cleaning and laundry departments, delivering quality food and cleaning services to our residents and ensuring they feel as comfortable and cared for as possible.

About the role:

Prepare catering area in line with appropriate processes to ensure effective delivery of catering services

Assist with the preparation of meals in compliance with health and nutritional standards, providing high quality efficient and effective service

Clean resident rooms and common areas ensuring our village is tidy and free of waste

Ensures residents clothing and laundry items are laundered correctly

What you need to be considered:

Previous experience working in an aged care setting (desirable)

Previous experience working in catering, cleaning and laundry

Ability to work unsupervised

Current First Aid Certificate

Certificate in III Aged Care (desirable)

Certificate III in Hospitality or qualification in Safe Food Handling (desirable)

Position Information:

Reporting the Catering Supervisor, we are seeking an experienced Catering Officer who is focused on the delivery of high-quality food service to join our Benhome Masonic Village.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Preparing meals that are compliant with food safety programs and recognised nutritional guidelines.

Complying with food and safety programs and providing high quality, efficient and effective food service

Assist in the preparation of meals and catering for special functions.

Preparing the dining area for meal times and serving food and drinks to our residents

Maintaining a clean work workplace ensuring all cleaning and dishwashing is done in a timely manner

What we look for:

Qualifications in Safe Food Handling and Preparation

Certificate III in Hospitality (desirable)

Working knowledge of Food Safety principles
