Veterinary Specialists of Sydney (VSOS) is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and motivated Junior Veterinary Nurse to join our Cardiology team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is early in their veterinary nursing career and would love to gain hands‑on experience in a specialist environment. You'll work alongside our experienced Cardiology Nurse and Cardiologist, helping keep the department running smoothly while learning about the fascinating world of veterinary cardiology.
Key responsibilities
Assisting with echocardiograms, including gentle patient handling and restraint Preparing and dispensing patient medications under veterinary direction Setting up and cleaning consultation and procedure areas Assisting our Cardiology Nurse and Cardiologist during consultations Helping with patient preparation, monitoring and general nursing care Keeping the department clean, organised and well‑stocked Providing plenty of cuddles and TLC to our patients About you Holds a Certificate II, III or IV in Animal Care/Veterinary Nursing,
or is currently studying towards a qualification Has a genuine love for animals and providing excellent patient care Is friendly, positive, reliable and hardworking Enjoys working as part of a team Has outstanding communication skills and a good sense of humour Is eager to learn and develop new skills Has a gentle, confident approach to handling animals
