Category Lead - Technology | Melbourne CBD

Want to shape how a major infrastructure organisation buys technology?

This is a senior individual contributor role with real commercial influence. You'll own a high-profile Technology portfolio spanning software, hardware and skilled services. The aim is to move IT procurement from tactical to strategic, under a newly appointed CPO.

What you'll do:

- Own Technology spend categories, from category plans and sourcing strategy to negotiation and contract
- Lead complex, high-value sourcing events and supplier negotiations from start to finish
- Be the trusted commercial adviser to senior stakeholders, using spend data and market insight to drive value and manage risk




- Build commercial capability and governance across the procurement team

What you'll bring:

- Strong Technology procurement background: category management, strategic sourcing, SOWs and contract negotiation
- Sharp commercial judgement and the presence to influence senior stakeholders
- Energy, utilities, resources or heavy industry experience and SAP/Ariba exposure highly regarded

$170-190K incl. super plus a strong performance bonus (15-25%)

Initial 14-18 month fixed-term contract, with potential to extend or go permanent
