Your Team

The FirstChoice & Edge Technology Operations Team supports the development, operation and transformation of CFS's FirstChoice, Fund Services and Edge technology platforms. The Service Automation Engineer helps deliver technology change while maintaining stable and effective services. This individual contributor role works closely with Service Management, SRE, Engineering, Cyber Security, Risk and Compliance, and business teams.

Responsibilities

- Design, build and support AI-enabled automation solutions that improve service management, governance, operational efficiency and reliability.

- Automate operational and security processes, including incident response, monitoring, reporting, recurring activities, notifications and escalations.

- Develop dashboards and workflows that support activity tracking, risk monitoring, reviews, approvals, attestations and evidence capture.

- Build secure, production-ready automation using APIs, scripting, CI/CD, testing, monitoring and integration with ITSM, SIEM, SOAR, cloud and observability platforms.

- Apply security, risk and responsible AI controls, including human oversight, auditability,



access controls, data protection and ongoing monitoring.

- Partner with Technology, Cyber Security, Risk and business teams to identify automation opportunities, improve processes and measure outcomes.

Qualifications

- Experience identifying business or operational challenges and delivering AI-enabled automation solutions, workflows, dashboards and system integrations.

- Hands-on experience with platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, ServiceNow, Azure, APIs or scripting technologies.

- Strong understanding of IT Service Management, operational processes and governance, including reporting, monitoring, controls and audit requirements.

- Proven ability to build reliable solutions with validation, exception handling, human oversight, testing, monitoring and audit trails.

- Strong problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, documentation and communication skills, with a focus on improving efficiency, service reliability and operational risk.
