About the role

At Toronto Hotel, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional dining experiences through a vibrant atmosphere, quality food and impeccable service. We are looking for a talented and motivated Cook to join our growing kitchen team.

As a Cook, you will play an significant role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our food. This is a permanent, full-time position and a great opportunity to develop your culinary skills and grow within a fast-paced hospitality environment.

What you'll do

- Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes in line with menu specifications
- Assist with daily food preparation and mise en place
- Maintain food quality, consistency and presentation standards
- Monitor stock levels and assist with stock control and inventory management
- Keep your work area clean, organised and efficient
- Comply with all food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements
- Work collaboratively with the Head Chef, Sous Chef and kitchen team to keep the kitchen running smoothly
- Assist with receiving and storing food supplies in line with food safety standards

About you





- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent qualification
- At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Strong communication, teamwork and time management skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

Pay and benefits

The salary is $80,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation. We also offer:
