Lead One of Queensland’s Premier Mine Emergency Response Teams

- Salary Package: Approx $172,000.00 per annum (Inclusive Base $148,000 + Super + Allowances + Retention Bonus)
- 14 Days On / 14 Days Off lifestyle roster
- FIFO from Rockhampton or Townsville (with regional incentive)
- FIFO from Brisbane, Cairns, or other locations negotiated (with no regional incentive)
- Regional Lifestyle Incentive of up to $5,000 per annum for eligible Townsville and Rockhampton residents
- Retention Bonus of $5,000 per annum
- Leadership development, ongoing operational training and genuine career progression into Emergency Services Supervisor and Operational Management roles
- Work with one of Queensland’s premier mine emergency response teams

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Services Team Leader to lead, mentor and develop a high-performing emergency response team. This role combines operational leadership with frontline emergency response, ensuring the highest standards of safety, emergency preparedness and team capability.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and mentor the Emergency Response Team during routine operations and emergencies.
- Coordinate emergency response training and exercises.
- Provide operational leadership during incidents.
- Supervise daily workforce deployment, reporting and emergency readiness.
- Respond to medical, fire, rescue and security incidents as required.
- Promote a positive safety culture and continuous improvement.

Essential Experience & Qualifications

- We’re looking for experienced emergency response professionals. Applicants should ideally hold or be able to obtain:
- Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue (or equivalent emergency response experience).
- Certificate II in Security Operations
- QLD Security Licence (Monitoring, Unarmed & Crowd Control)
- Current Advanced First Aid and Advanced Resuscitation.
- Current Standard 11
- Current Manual MR Driver Licence.
- Coal Board Medical (or ability to obtain).
- Security experience is advantageous but not essential.
