We are looking for a hands‑on Vineyard Supervisor who loves being outdoors, leading a excellent team and seeing a season through from planting to harvest.

About Us

Duxton Vineyards(“DV”) is a large-scale, vertically integrated wine business located in the Sunraysia region of Australia. The business owns and operates over 1,423 hectares of wine grape vineyards in this region, as well as a large-scale winery. Using the latest groundbreaking technology, we lead the way in sustainable environmental practices at scale.

Duxton Vineyards has strong growth plans for the future, collaborating with some of the largest leading wine companies both in Australia and globally.

The Role

Reporting to the Vineyard Manager, you’ll lead the day‑to‑day operations of your assigned vineyards – from potential plantings right through to harvest. This is a hands‑on, field‑based role where you’ll be out among the vines, leading your team to get the job done to a high standard, safely and in line with compliance requirements, while keeping our irrigation systems flowing smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Own the vineyard calendar, planning, organising and completing all operational activities for your assigned vineyards from potential plantings through to harvest;
- Plan, implement and monitor vineyard operations using the Ezy Wine Vineyard Management system, working alongside the Vineyard Manager, Chief Viticulturist and General Manager;
- Keep the water flowing by carrying out timely irrigation maintenance and repairs to maintain peak system performance;
- Train and support new employees and contractors in the safe use of plant and equipment and in vineyard operational tasks, keeping accurate training records;

- Kick off each day by running the safety toolbox meeting, sharing relevant safety and operational information with the team;
- Supervise quality assurance and operational tasks, ensuring records are kept up to date;
- Maintain and repair plant and equipment (or source specialised repair agents), ensuring pre/post operational checks are completed and maintenance records are kept;
- Raise purchase orders in Ezy Wine in line with the Purchasing Procedure;
- Bring fresh ideas to the table, identifying opportunities to drive savings and efficiencies across vineyard operations; and
- Carry out all work with Duxton Vineyards’ environmental and sustainability commitments front of mind, ensuring compliance with relevant environmental laws and obligations.

What You’ll Bring

- Qualification in Operational Management or 5+ years’ experience in a related field;
- Proven hands‑on experience as a Supervisor, with a knack for bringing out the best in your team;
- Experience and knowledge in heavy vehicle/vineyard machinery and large‑scale operations;
- Strong safety awareness and sound knowledge of operational management;
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team; and
- Flexible, adaptable and reliable – because in a vineyard, no two days are ever the same

Why You’ll Love It Here

- Lead a team within a large‑scale operation;
- See the season through from planting to harvest – and enjoy the satisfaction of a vintage well done;
- Work with the latest technology in a business leading the way in sustainable practices; and
- Grow with a company that has strong plans for the future.

If you’re excited about the wine industry and ready to make an impact within a large‑scale vineyard operation, this role is for you.
