An integral part of our team, as a Ward Orderly, you’ll support the safe and efficient movement of patients across the hospital and provide practical assistance to our nursing and clinical teams. You’ll work across a busy specialty hospital environment, supporting patients and teams across our wards and other clinical areas, including theatres and ICU. As a Ward Orderly, you’ll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of patient care. You’ll assist with safely transporting, transferring and repositioning patients throughout the hospital while working closely with nursing and clinical teams. Assist with the safe transport and transfer of patients between wards, theatres, ICU and other clinical areas Support nursing staff with the safe repositioning and mobilisation of patients Assist with the movement and preparation of beds, wheelchairs,



equipment and other items as required Use safe manual handling practices and mechanical lifting aids when assisting patients Support the cleanliness and safety of the hospital environment, including the appropriate collection and disposal of waste Follow hospital guidelines and procedures relating to infection prevention and control Provide respectful and considerate support to patients, maintaining their privacy, dignity and comfort at all times Work collaboratively with nursing, clinical and support teams to help ensure patients are transported safely and efficiently What makes a difference for us?
