Opes Accounting Group Pty Ltd is a growing, client-focused firm with offices on Glenferrie Road, Malvern (Melbourne), and in Echuca. You will work alongside experienced Managers, gain hands-on exposure to a diverse client portfolio, and receive the training and study support you need to become a qualified skilled. All work is performed in the office, where you will receive direct, face-to-face guidance from your managers.
Key responsibilities
Assist with preparing Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns
Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) and help meet other compliance requirements
Provide accounting and taxation support to a diverse range of clients
Maintain accurate financial records and accounting workpapers
Liaise with clients to obtain financial information and documentation
Assist with bookkeeping, reconciliations, and general accounting functions
Develop your understanding of taxation legislation, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
Work with the wider team to deliver efficient, high-quality client service
About you
A university degree in accounting, or you are in the final year of your degree
Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Confident communication and strong interpersonal skills
The ability to work independently and contribute to a collaborative team
Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
A proactive attitude and a genuine willingness to learn
