This role is accountable for the effective operation, governance and continual improvement of AusNet's Enterprise Asset Management System (E-AMS), ensuring that the Asset Management System remains aligned with the Asset Management Policy, Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP), ISO 55001 requirements and enterprise governance obligations. The position translates enterprise requirements into practical business processes, standards, controls and assurance activities that enable operational lines of business to manage assets consistently, effectively, and in accordance with ISO 55001. What you’ll help deliver
• Managing the day-to-day operation and administration of the Enterprise Asset Management System.
• Maintaining alignment between the Asset Management Policy, Strategic Asset Management Plan, Asset Management Manual and supporting standards, procedures and processes; seeking to optimise LoB standards to Enterprise standards where it makes sense.
• Maintaining the organisation's ISO 55001 management system framework and supporting documented information.
• Coordinating ISO 55001 certification activities and engagement with external auditors.
• Developing and implementing Asset Management System assurance programs.
• Being the ‘owner’ of the Enterprise Management of Technical Change (MoTC) process, coaching and supporting staff to embed and sustain the MoTC.
• In partnership with the Engineering Systems team, align business requirements for asset information, data quality, records across the digital platforms needed to operate the Asset Management System and support lifecycle decisions.




• Developing and maintaining asset management competency frameworks.
• Monitor industry developments and maintain awareness of evolving ISO 55001 requirements and asset management good practice. You don’t need to check every box, however we’re looking for a good combination of:
• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, asset management, business or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Professional certifications or accreditations such as CAMA, CPAM or equivalent desirable.
• Demonstrated experience establishing, implementing or improving an enterprise Asset Management System across multiple asset portfolios.
• Strong practical knowledge of the ISO 55000 series, including ISO 55001 requirements and their application.
• Strong understanding of risk-based lifecycle management, asset management planning, asset performance and investment decision support.
• Experience working in a regulated infrastructure setting; Australian energy regulatory experience is desirable.
• Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
• Knowledge of electricity transmission and distribution, gas, metering or contestable infrastructure is desirable. The AusNet experience is all about…
