As a Senior Reliability Engineer, you will help shape the team's technical direction in line with organisational strategy, and raise the standard of reliability across engineering. You will design and build scalable, resilient and secure systems and tooling, applying engineering best practices and coding standards in Go or Java. You will define and implement SLIs and SLOs, and lead the way on instrumenting services with traces, metrics and logs. You will mentor and coach engineers through code reviews, guidance and hands-on collaboration, advocate for system and process improvements, and apply current technologies, especially AI, to improve reliability and reduce operational toil. You will work with engineers and stakeholders to turn business needs into reliable technical solutions, and to influence decisions that affect system reliability, security and compliance. What You Offer
• Deep understanding of software design, architecture and modern software development practices
• Hands-on development in Go or Java,



with deep understanding of application instrumentation for traces, metrics and logs, and the ability to guide engineers on instrumenting services well.
• Production experience with AWS and/or GCP, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• A track record of defining SLIs and SLOs and implementing them end to end, from measuring to building SLO dashboards, error budgets and burn-rate alerting that is actionable.
• Experience leading incident response and post-incident reviews, and influencing teams and stakeholders without relying on authority.
• Hands-on experience building AI-enabled tools, such as LLM or agent-based workflows, with sound judgement about where AI helps and where it needs guardrails. We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us, if you're excited
