Our client is a globally renowned marine capital equipment manufacturing company. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced and competent Service Manager to lead its Australian operations. Service Manager (Based in Perth, Australia) ORGANISATION: Reporting to the Managing Director, this pivotal role will lead service operations and will provide high-level technical support to the service team. You will lead an expert team of Service Engineers, and will be the principal contact for technical and field-service matters. You will ensure safe, reliable, and commercially sound outcomes for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and major overhauls. This is a full-time, hands-on leadership role combining high-level expertise, team development and commercial accountability. YOUR

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Service Operations & Delivery: Plan, prioritise, and coordinate field service, workshop, and commissioning activities across Australia, Current Zealand, and, where required, the wider region. Manage resource allocation to balance safety, quality, and tight maritime schedules.
• Technical Leadership and Customer Support: Act as the lead local technical focal point and provide expert guidance on installation, troubleshooting, and repairs for specialized marine equipment.
• Team and Workshop Management: Mentor and lead a team of Service Engineers and Technical Support staff. Oversee workshop workloads,



ensuring repairs strictly align with OEM technical instructions and quality frameworks.
• Commercial and Safety Accountability: Demonstrate visible leadership in work health and safety. Review service scope, subcontract requirements and monitor job progress.

YOUR PROFILE
• Tertiary degree, diploma, or trade qualification in Mechanical, Marine, or a related engineering discipline.
• Approximately 8–10 years of relevant experience in marine, heavy mechanical, or field service operations.
• Proven experience in leading and developing service engineers, technicians or subcontractors in a multi-site environment.
• Experience with power transmission system, bearings, gearboxes and machining will be an advantage
• Exceptional communication skills with the commercial acumen to manage client relationships, warranty investigations, and technical reporting.
• Willingness to undertake domestic and international travel as required. OFFER :
