Warehouse & 3PL Operations Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse & 3PL Operations Assistant to join our team at our Bayswater North warehouse.

This is a varied, hands-on role with a primary focus on managing our third-party logistics (3PL) operations, ensuring orders are processed accurately, stock is managed effectively and deliveries meet required turnaround times.

You'll also work closely with our broader warehouse team, Head Office and interstate branches to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

About the Role

Reporting to the Systems & Services Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

3PL Operations

- Receive and process orders from 3PL partners, ensuring accurate paperwork and timely communication with Head Office.
- Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch, maintaining a minimum 98% picking and checking accuracy.
- Coordinate wholesale and bulk palletised deliveries, including organising deliveries using the in-house truck where required.
- Manage incoming containers, including unloading and coordinating container returns.
- Ensure all 3PL orders meet required turnaround times.
- Receive stock into our IT systems and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Manage stock replenishment and rotation using FIFO principles.
- Communicate with 3PL partners and resolve delivery, proof of delivery and stock discrepancy issues.
- Coordinate third-party couriers and work collaboratively with interstate branches.

General Warehouse Operations

- Assist with picking, packing, receiving, stocktakes and general warehouse duties when 3PL workload permits.




- Work alongside the Warehouse Manager to identify and complete daily operational tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse and surrounding work areas.

Safety & Compliance

- Operate forklifts safely in shared warehouse and outdoor environments.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and company operational requirements.
- Maintain professional communication and relationships with customers, suppliers, carriers and business partners.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A current forklift licence. (Preferred)
- Previous warehouse experience, ideally within a 3PL, distribution or logistics environment. (Preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high picking and checking accuracy.
- Good computer skills and the ability to complete accurate stock transactions and data entry.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- The ability to work independently, follow established procedures and manage competing priorities.
- The physical capability to regularly lift and move cartons and undertake hands-on warehouse duties.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to assist wherever required.
