About Foremind Foremind was built from lived experience. Our founder burnt out managing a large team, waited three weeks for an EAP session and got the wrong counsellor. We exist so nobody falls into that gap again. We are Australia's all-in-one EAP and psychosocial safety platform: 24/7 counselling support for teams, and a living risk register that helps WHS, People & Culture and HR leaders see psychosocial risk, act on it, and show they have met their obligations under the Codes of Practice. We are a team of 14, founder-led, backed by Skalata, Giant Leap and the Snow Foundation, and heading into our Series A. More than 300 Australian businesses already rely on us, many in construction, education, healthcare, aged care and community services, where the need is greatest. Demand is now coming from larger organisations and government, and the next stage is building a product that meets them where they are: at scale, with the security, reporting and confidence enterprise buyers expect. We combine real human support with software that makes compliance simple. That combination is hard to build, and it is our edge. The opportunity You’ll be joining after product-market fit and before scale: early enough to shape the function, the roadmap, and how we work, and late enough that there are real customers, real revenue, and a clear direction to build on. Right now product decisions sit with the founder. Your job is to take that on and build something that outlasts any one person: a product function, a way of deciding what matters, and a roadmap that takes Foremind from a product SMEs love to one that enterprises, healthcare, education, and government buy with confidence. AI is central to what we build next: surfacing psychosocial risk earlier from check-in and survey data, taking the admin out of compliance, and matching people to the right support faster. You will shape those features and set the standard for building them responsibly with sensitive, clinical data. You will work as one tight, AI-enabled team with our Engineering Lead and 3 engineers, our Senior Product Designer, and our Sales and Customer Success team. You will be a true partner to the founder, in the room for the decisions that shape the company through Series A and beyond. If you have done strong product work inside a growing company and want to be the person who sets the foundations this time, this is that role.
What you'll do
Own the product strategy
• Own Foremind's product vision, strategy and roadmap, with product-led growth and retention at its core, measured on activation, adoption, retention, expansion revenue and customer outcomes
• Shape the path from SME to enterprise and government: what we build, what we say no to, and in what order
• Bring a point of view to the founder and leadership team, backed by evidence, make the hard prioritisation calls, and build business cases for major bets with success measures agreed before work starts Get close to customers
• Build a deep understanding of the WHS, People & Culture and HR leaders who buy Foremind, and the workers who use it, through research, customer conversations and data
• Work alongside Growth, Sales and Customer Success to learn from every deal won, lost and renewed, and turn that into product direction
• Track the market and competitors, and spot where we can lead rather than follow Build what enterprise and government need
• Lead the product work that unlocks larger customers: permissions and roles, reporting, integrations, security and privacy, the compliance requirements that come with government procurement, and psychosocial regulation across every state and the markets we expand into
• Partner with our Clinical Lead so that every product decision holds up clinically as well as commercially Lead our AI features
• Shape and ship AI capabilities, such as early-warning signals from check-in and survey data, assisted risk assessments and control recommendations, smarter counsellor matching and triage and AI-drafted compliance documentation
• Partner with engineering on model selection, evaluation and guardrails, and with our Clinical & Research Lead on clinical safety and appropriateness
• Set the standard for responsible AI at Foremind: privacy by design, anonymity thresholds, explainability, and a human in the loop wherever a decision affects a person's care Ship well
• Work hands-on with Engineering and Design, from problem framing and user stories to flows and prototypes, turning ideas into developer-ready work
• Break big initiatives into smaller releases that each deliver value, then measure what happens after launch and feed it back into what comes next
• Lead testing and rollout, measure what happens after launch, and feed it back into what comes next Build the function
• Shape how product works at Foremind: discovery, prioritisation, planning rhythms, product metrics and the tools that support them
• Set up what the product team will grow on after Series A, and help shape the next product hires
• Help the founder tell the product story to customers,
investors and the board What we're looking for
• 6+ years in product management, including ownership of a product or major product area in B2B SaaS, ideally through a growth or scale stage
• You have worked on a product moving upmarket, or on one already selling to enterprise or government. You know what changes when the buyer moves from a small business to a large enterprise or government agency: procurement, security reviews, permissions, reporting and longer sales cycles
• You have seen what valuable product practice looks like (the rituals, the metrics, the trust of the people around it) and you are ready to build it from the ground up
• You have driven product-led growth and retention: onboarding, activation, engagement and in-product expansion. You use customer insight and data to decide what to build, and you measure whether it worked
• Hands-on with AI. You have shipped at least one LLM or ML-powered feature, you prototype with AI tools yourself, and you understand evaluation, hallucination risk and guardrails well enough to challenge engineering
• Strong commercial judgement. You understand how product, pricing and go-to-market combine to win and keep customers
• Comfortable getting into technical detail with engineers, and into the detail of design with designers
• Clear, confident communication with everyone from frontline users to the board
• You are equally comfortable setting strategy in the morning and writing user stories in the afternoon. At our stage, both matter Bonus points
• Experience in HR tech, WHS, Compliance, EAP, wellbeing, health tech or another regulated space
• You have worked on products sold into government, or through formal procurement and security assessment
• You have been an early product hire before, or worked closely with a founder through a funding round
• Hands-on with product analytics and experimentation tools such as Amplitude, Mixpanel or PostHog
• Experience with products launching into new markets such as New Zealand or the UK Why join now
• The stage. Product-market fit is proven and Series A is ahead. You get the scope of an early hire with the footing of a business that works
• Real ownership. You build product at Foremind for scale and work directly with the founder on the decisions that matter
• Room to grow. As we scale into enterprise, government and new markets (New Zealand and the UK are on our horizon), the product function grows too. Your scope grows with what you build and what the business needs
• Work that matters. What we build changes how organisations care for their people
• Equity. You share in what you help build
