About the Opportunity As the Verification and Validation Assistant for Austal Defence Australia (ADA), you'll be responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, execution and closeout of acceptance related activities to enable timely and orderly progression toward vessel acceptance. The Verification and Validation assistants are assigned to specific acceptance streams based on program needs that focuses on coordination, issue management, documentation control, and stakeholder engagement across Verification and Validation Test and Activation, Mission System Inspection Test Plan, Sea trials and waterfront closeout activities. • Coordinate acceptance activities to support vessel delivery and acceptance milestones
• Support management of V&V; activities associated deliverables
• Coordinate Test and Activation activities, including readiness, scheduling, and execution support
• Manage acceptance issues, observations, and defects through tracking, burndown,



and closeout activities
• Support execution of Sea Trial programs, including preparation, coordination, and closeout activities
• Coordinate Integrated Product Support validation activities You'll Need
• Diploma, trade certificate or bachelors degree in engineering, technical, or related discipline with experience in shipbuilding, marine operations or complex project environments
• Equivalent experience in project coordination, scheduling, or project controls within largescale technical, marine, defence or industrial projects
• Strong Coordination, scheduling and organisational skills
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication
• Acceptance coordination within shipbuilding or complex system programs
• Understanding of V&V;, testing, activation, and trial workflows
• Understanding of issue tracking, burndown and close out processes
