Job Description
Your opportunity Join the Port Authority team as a Commercial Event Manager and play a pivotal role in promoting the Port Authority brand through effective event selection, and execution, ensuring every event exceeds expectations. You will drive sales and revenue growth, maintain high service standards, foster strong client relationships, and enhance the Port Authority's reputation as a premier event destination. This role is permanent position and will report to the Senior Manager, Commercial based in Sydney, close to Barangaroo Metro. Here’s How Your Impact Will Truly Count
• You’ll develop and manage event timelines, budgets, and project plans ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• You’ll be responsible for event setup, execution, and breakdown and post event evaluations ensuring our service meets customer expectations.




• You’ll identify opportunities to promote the brand and increase revenue generation .
• You’ll develop and manage event budgets, and manage creditor and debtor activities including procurement of contractors. Desired Skills And Experience What you’ll bring
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated relevant, equivalent professional experience.
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to effectively engage and cultivate relationships.
• Strong customer service and event management skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and support to event organizers and attendees.
• Ability to effectively prioritise and manage multiple events concurrently with minimal supervision, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
• Current Drivers licence.
• Willingness to travel between precinct within the portfolio.
• Availability to perform event related duties outside of business hours from time to time. What matters most is that you’re a strong team player who doesn’t shy away from a challenge.
