About the Opportunity

Modern Homes Pty. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee the construction and delivery of an exciting development comprising 18 commercial warehouses in Wetherill Park, NSW.

This is a hands-on, site-based opportunity for a capable project manager with experience in commercial and industrial construction.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for coordinating multiple warehouse construction stages, managing subcontractors and suppliers, monitoring project schedules and budgets, and ensuring all works are completed to the required quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the construction and delivery of 18 commercial warehouses.
- Manage daily site operations and coordinate multiple construction activities.
- Coordinate subcontractors, tradespeople, suppliers and consultants.
- Monitor construction schedules, milestones and project deadlines across all warehouses.
- Manage project budgets, costs and variations.
- Coordinate procurement of building materials and site deliveries.
- Monitor construction quality and workmanship.
- Coordinate civil works, foundations, structural steel, roofing, cladding and warehouse fit-out activities.
- Ensure compliance with WHS requirements and relevant building regulations.
- Coordinate site meetings, inspections and construction documentation.
- Identify and resolve construction issues promptly.
- Provide regular progress reports directly to company management.

Skills and Experience





- Minimum 2 years of construction project management experience.
- Previous experience managing commercial or industrial construction projects is essential.
- Experience with warehouse, factory or multi-unit commercial developments will be highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and site management.
- Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors and multiple workstreams.
- Experience managing construction schedules, budgets and quality control.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of project delivery.
- Relevant construction qualifications will be advantageous.

Contractor Requirements

- Valid Australian Business Number (ABN) is mandatory.
- Appropriate contractor insurance must be arranged before undertaking work requiring that cover.
- Must be available to work primarily on-site in Wetherill Park, NSW.
- Immediate availability preferred.

The engagement will be subject to a written independent contractor agreement and appropriate legal classification.

Payment

Contractor payment is negotiable depending on experience, qualifications and capabilities.
