- Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by scraping, sanding, patching, filling and cleaning.
- Apply paints, primers, varnishes, stains, sealants and protective coatings using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
- Mix and match paint colours to achieve specified finish and client requirements.
- Measure work areas and estimate material requirements for projects.
- Protect furniture, fixtures, flooring and surrounding surfaces before commencing work.
- Repair minor surface defects, cracks, holes and damaged plaster prior to painting.
- Apply decorative, textured and specialty finishes as required.
- Read and interpret work orders, plans, specifications and project requirements.
- Ensure all work is completed to company quality standards and client expectations.
- Maintain painting tools, equipment and supplies in positive working order.
- Always follow workplace health and safety procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with Supervisors, clients, apprentices and other tradespeople.
- Assist with training and mentoring junior staff where required.
- Complete projects within agreed timeframes while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

Pay: $79,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
