About the role

As our People & Culture Coordinator, you’ll lead training and development and be a trusted first point of call for employee relations. Reporting to the People & Culture Business Partner, you’ll support the wider P&C; team, advise managers on day-to-day people matters, and help make sure our team is treated fairly, consistently and in line with the law.

Key responsibilities

- Advise managers and employees on day-to-day people matters
- Support performance, disciplinary and workplace investigation processes
- Interpret legislation and awards to keep the business compliant
- Help develop and update policies and procedures
- Plan, coordinate and deliver training across all departments
- Oversee trainees and apprentices, and maintain training records
- Support recruitment, onboarding and employment documentation
- Assist with payroll accuracy, award compliance and work rights monitoring




- Manage workers’ compensation claims and support injury management
- Promote a safe, healthy and respectful workplace

What you’ll bring

- Experience in an HR/P&C; coordinator or generalist role, ideally in hospitality
- Hands-on experience supporting employee relations, such as performance management, disciplinary processes or workplace investigations
- A solid working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, NES and modern awards (Hospitality Industry (General) Award, Hair and Beauty 2020 Award experience highly regarded)
- Confidence coaching managers through difficult conversations
- Experience coordinating or delivering training
- Experience with Employment Hero system (or similar)
- Sound judgement, discretion and a commitment to confidentiality
- A warm, professional approach with people at every level
