About the Role

Hope and Wellbeing Care Services is seeking a compassionate, reliable and motivated Disability Support Worker to join our team in the Wollongong area.

We are looking for someone passionate about providing person-centred support and helping people living with disability maintain their independence, build confidence and participate meaningfully in their community.

Hours will be approximately 10–15 per week, depending on participant requirements and the suitability of the worker-participant connection.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide person-centred support in line with individual needs and goals.
- Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
- Support community access and social participation.
- Encourage independence, choice and decision-making.
- Assist participants to develop daily living skills.
- Provide companionship and meaningful social engagement.
- Follow individual support plans and workplace procedures.
- Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality and duty of care.
- Communicate effectively with participants, families and the wider support team.

About You

Essential Requirements

- Certificate III in Individual Support or relevant lived experience.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Current driver’s licence and reliable, insured vehicle.
- Ability to meet relevant employment and screening requirements.

Pay: $33.54 – $44.34 per hour
