The role
We’re looking for an experienced CNC Operator to run our machining and nesting workflow from file to finished parts. You’ll prepare and optimise cutting files, operate the CNC router, and keep production moving smoothly so our cabinetmakers and installers always have accurate, well-labelled components.
Key responsibilities
- Import, prepare and optimise cut lists and nesting layouts in EasyNest
- Process cabinet data and generate machine-ready files from Cabmaster
- Set up and operate the CNC router, including loading sheets, tooling changes and machine checks
- Maximise material yield and minimise waste
- Check part quality and dimensions against drawings and cut lists
- Label, sort and stage parts for assembly and edgebanding
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and report faults early
- Work closely with draftspeople, schedulers and the workshop team to meet production deadlines
- Keep a clean, safe and organised work area
About you
Essential
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator in a cabinetry or joinery environment
- Working knowledge of EasyNest and Cabmaster
- Ability to read and interpret cabinet drawings and cut lists
- Solid attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Right to work in Australia and positive English communication
Desirable
- Trade qualification in Cabinet Making or Joinery
- Experience with edgebanding, drilling and panel processing
- Basic machine maintenance skills
- Experience with other CAD/CAM or cabinet software
