About Us
Tasmania JackJumpers are one-of-ten basketball clubs that form the National Basketball League (NBL) competition. Since launching in 2021, our strong cultural foundations and passionate fan base have led to unprecedented success on and off the court. In everything the JackJumpers do, we represent the state of Tasmania with pride. On the court, in the stands and in the community. Tasmania Jewels are the newest addition to the WNBL, proudly becoming the league’s first expansion licence and ninth team. Built on Tasmania’s hallmark qualities of resilience, unity, and heart, the Jewels reflect the spirit of the island both on and off the court. With a deep commitment to our community and a clear vision for excellence, the Jewels are committed to establishing a strong culture that inspires players, fans, and future generations. Values in Practice These are not aspirational. They are the minimum we expect from everyone here. Mindful: We respect each other, our fans, our stakeholders, our property, our facilities and our competitors. Authentic: We represent the Tasmanian community: underestimated, hardworking, gritty. Relentless: We embrace challenges, fight through adversity and grit and grind to the final buzzer.
