Role Description The Industrial Maintenance Fitter is a full-time, on-site role based in Sydney, NSW. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and fitting industrial machinery and equipment to ensure continuous and safe plant operations. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing mechanical faults, performing scheduled and preventive maintenance, installing and aligning machinery components, and supporting breakdown response to minimize downtime. The position works closely with electricians, engineers, and production teams to complete shutdown works and projects in line with safety, quality, and compliance standards. The Industrial Maintenance Fitter is expected to document maintenance activities,



follow established procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement of plant reliability. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong skills in plant maintenance and general maintenance & repair of industrial equipment.
• Candidates should possess skills in preventive maintenance, including planning, scheduling, and executing routine service tasks.
• Candidates should possess practical experience working with industrial machinery and mechanical systems.
• Candidates should possess fitting skills for installing, assembling, aligning, and overhauling mechanical components.
• Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent) and demonstrated experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and ability to follow secure work procedures.
• Ability to read technical drawings, use hand and power tools, and operate workshop equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capacity to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Current driver’s license and flexibility to support breakdowns, shutdowns, and occasional overtime as required.
