International Women's Development Agency (IWDA)

Melbourne

Bring stories, audiences and movements together to inspire change. Join IWDA as our next Senior Manager Marketing and Communications. About IWDA International Women’s Development Agency (IWDA) is an Australian-based organisation, resourcing diverse women’s rights organisations (WROs) primarily in the Asia and the Pacific. We provide support that goes beyond money and contribute to global feminist movements to advance our vision of gender equality for all. Our Vision: Gender equality for all Our Purpose: To defend and advance the rights of women, girls and gender diverse people Our Values: Feminist, Decolonial, Accountable, Collaborative, Transformative We are committed to building a resilient and relevant feminist and decolonial organisation, and to becoming an explicitly anti-racist organisation. Anchored by lessons from our 40-year history and guided by fiercely held feminist and decolonial values, our Strategic Plan 2025
- 2035 lays out IWDA’s path towards realising our vision of gender equality for all. Our strategic goals are to shift resources to women’s rights organisations, strengthen feminist movements, advance feminist and decolonial knowledge, and model a different way of being as a feminist organisation. At IWDA, how we work is as important as what we do. Our 4S Framework guides us to step up and use our power to create change, stand with feminist movements in solidarity, step back when others are better placed to lead, and sit with uncertainty through deep listening and collective learning. The Opportunity: As Senior Manager Marketing and Communications, you'll lead IWDA's marketing, communications and brand strategy, translating our organisational priorities into compelling stories, meaningful engagement and greater influence. You'll lead a team of two to strengthen IWDA's brand, grow and engage diverse audiences, and develop integrated marketing and communications approaches that advance our fundraising, advocacy and movement-strengthening goals. Working across the organisation, you'll identify opportunities to amplify feminist voices, build connections with supporters and stakeholders, and strengthen how IWDA is positioned and recognised as a leading feminist organisation. This is an opportunity to bring your strategic marketing and communications expertise to an organisation working to move more and better resources to feminist movements.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and lead the implementation of an integrated, organisation-wide marketing and communications strategy that strengthens IWDA's brand, expands its reach and advances organisational priorities.

• Lead the development of integrated content and storytelling strategies that amplify IWDA's work, feminist perspectives and thought leadership across fundraising, partnerships, advocacy and movement strengthening.
• Oversee the development and delivery of marketing, communications and advocacy campaigns, working collaboratively with internal teams to maximise reach, engagement and impact.

• Lead IWDA's digital marketing strategy across website, social media, email and digital campaigns, using audience insights and data to improve engagement, user experience and campaign performance.
• Drive audience development and engagement through effective segmentation, audience journeys and targeted communications that deepen relationships with supporters, donors and key stakeholders.
• Establish and monitor meaningful performance measures, using data, insights and reporting to evaluate effectiveness, inform decisions and continuously improve marketing and communications outcomes.
• Lead, coach and develop the Marketing and Communications team, fostering collaboration, creativity and a cohesive approach to delivering organisational priorities. Desired Skills and Experience
• Significant experience in strategic marketing and communications, preferably within an international development, humanitarian, not-for-profit, social impact or purpose-driven organisation.
• Demonstrated success developing and delivering integrated marketing and communications strategies, campaigns and brand initiatives that strengthen organisational profile and influence.
• Strong expertise in digital marketing, audience development and engagement, including audience segmentation, content strategy, digital channels and customer journeys.
• Experience using data, audience insights and performance measures to inform marketing decisions, evaluate impact and improve engagement and conversion.

• Excellent writing, editing, storytelling and communication skills, with familiarity with marketing technologies and CRM platforms. Experience with WordPress, Ortto and Salesforce will be highly regarded. A Little About You You are a strategic and creative marketing and communications leader who understands the power of storytelling, brand and audience engagement in shaping perspectives and influencing change. You bring the ability to connect organisational strategy with compelling communications, translating complex ideas into messages that resonate with diverse audiences and inspire people to engage, connect and take action. You will bring:
• A strategic and forward-thinking mindset, with the ability to see the bigger picture while translating organisational priorities into practical marketing and communications approaches.
• A creative and audience-centred approach to storytelling, with an ability to make complex ideas accessible, compelling and relevant to diverse audiences.
