Looking to put your warehouse, freight handling and forklift experience to work in a busy transport and logistics environment?
We're seeking enthusiastic and physically capable Freight Handlers / Forklift Operators to join our team in Banksmeadow. This is a hands-on role primarily focused on loading, unloading, sorting and processing freight, with forklift operation also required throughout the shift.
The majority of the role will involve manual freight handling, so we're looking for people who are physically capable, hardworking and eager to get stuck in.
About the Role You'll play an important role in the safe and effective movement of freight throughout the depot.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Loading and unloading trucks and freight vehicles.
- Sorting, scanning and processing incoming and outgoing freight.
- Assisting with freight movements throughout the depot.
- Manually handling, moving and positioning freight.
- Operating a forklift to move and transport freight when required.
- Performing repetitive manual handling and heavy lifting duties.
- Assisting with general warehouse and freight operations.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Supporting daily operational deadlines and freight processing requirements.
- Working as part of a team to ensure freight is processed safely and efficiently.
Rosters & Pay
- $36 per hour + applicable penalties.
- Fully rotational roster covering morning, afternoon and night shifts.
- Monday to Sunday availability required.
- Full availability across the rotational roster is essential.
What We're Looking For
- Current LF Forklift Licence – essential.
- Previous forklift operating experience.
- Previous warehouse, freight handling or logistics experience advantageous.
- Experience loading and unloading trucks and handling freight.
- Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive manual handling and heavy lifting.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to undertake hands-on duties.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to work as part of a team.
- Fully available to work a rotational roster – essential.
