About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Road Worker to assist with road repairs, asphalt works and general road maintenance. This is primarily a night shift position where you'll work outdoors alongside an experienced crew, helping keep roads safe and in good condition.
Contract Details
- Position: Road Worker with MR Truck Driving
- Pay Rate: From $45.45 per hour (Up to $48.94/h for eligible MR Driving Positions) plus super
- Location: Russell Vale
- Expected Roster: Sunday to Thursday, 7pm–3am (shift worker)
- Start Date: ASAP, pending background checks
- Expected Duration: Until 18 December 2026, with possible extension in the new year
- Travel: Occasional working away from home
Key Responsibilities
- Repair potholes and damaged road surfaces
- Assist with asphalt laying, patching and resurfacing
- Shovel, rake and spread asphalt and road materials
- Set up and pack down roadwork sites
- Operate hand tools and road maintenance equipment
- Assist with traffic control and site safety
- Drive work trucks and transport materials where licensed
- Carry out general labouring and road maintenance duties
- For MR Truck Driver, drive an MR vehicle to transport crew or materials.
About You
- Current White Card
- Traffic Control – Current or willing to obtain within 4 weeks of starting, at your own expense
- Workers on Foot (WoF) – Current or willing to obtain before starting,
at your own expense
- MR Licence – Preferred, particularly experience driving manual trucks
- Previous roadworks, asphalt or civil construction experience highly regarded
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual labour
- Reliable, safety-conscious and available for night shifts Sunday - Thursday.
- Valid Australian working rights (no sponsorship is available)
