Machine Operator (Laser & CNC Router) | Full Training Provided

Our client is a specialist Brisbane manufacturer of precision foam and tool organisation products. They supply Defence, aviation, marine and industrial customers, and they’ve built a reputation for premium quality.
Big defence contracts mean the workshop is flat out, and they need another hands-on operator to keep up.
What you’ll be doing
- Laser operation (around 50%): Running the laser, including setup, settings and quality checks. You’ll be fully trained alongside the current operator.
- CNC router (around 30%): Operating the router and cleaning up cut foam
- Production (around 20%): Product assembly and general workshop tasks
No two days are the same. One day you’re on the laser, the next you’re on the router or helping with assembly.
Who will you be working with?
You’ll join a tight-knit team of under 30 people across two sister businesses. Most of the team have been there 5 to 10 years, which says plenty about the place. It’s an open, flat culture without corporate layers or a manual for everything. People here speak up,

What we’re looking for
- Experience as a machine operator, production operator or similar in manufacturing, fabrication, joinery or signage
- CNC, laser or router experience is a bonus but not essential
- A sharp eye for detail, because quality is everything here
- Experience in a smaller business, or someone who’s happy working without rigid processes and enjoys variety
- A reliable, steady work record and the confidence to speak up and take ownership
- Comfortable in a workshop setting with PPE requirements and varying noise levels
