Eden Ritchie Recruitment are seeking an experienced AO8 Finance Business Analyst to support a major Queensland Government business and technology transformation program.

This role will play a key part in delivering a modern, integrated finance solution, working closely with business stakeholders, ICT delivery teams and external service providers to define requirements, improve business processes and support successful system implementation.

The successful candidate will bring extensive business analysis experience within large-scale ICT transformation programs, combined with a strong understanding of financial processes, systems integration and future-state solution design.

Contract Length: 12 months

Key Responsibilities

- Lead stakeholder engagement to identify, refine, validate and prioritise complex business requirements.
- Define and document future-state finance processes across accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets and taxation.
- Develop BPMN process models, workflows, business rules and use cases.
- Conduct current-state and future-state gap analyses, identifying risks, opportunities and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with delivery teams and external service providers to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Support data migration activities, including data cleansing, mapping and validation.
- Develop testing strategies, test cases and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
- Apply AI tools to assist with requirements analysis and validation, ensuring appropriate governance and human oversight.
- Contribute to training materials, user documentation and change readiness activities.
- Provide expert business analysis advice and mentor team members to support successful program delivery.





To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Extensive Business Analysis experience within complex ICT transformation programs, ideally involving ERP or finance systems implementations.
- Strong understanding of financial business processes, including AP, AR, GL, fixed assets and taxation.
- Demonstrated experience developing BPMN process models, business requirements, use cases and future-state process documentation.
- Proven ability to conduct detailed gap analyses and translate business requirements into practical solution recommendations.
- Experience working across the full project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, data migration, testing and implementation.
- Robust stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation and communication skills.
- Experience working collaboratively with ICT delivery teams and external service providers.
- Experience contributing to test packages, data interfaces and user acceptance testing.
- Proficiency working within Agile delivery environments, including sprint planning, showcases and retrospectives.
- Demonstrated experience within government or public sector environments, with knowledge of Queensland Government methodologies and frameworks highly desirable.
- Experience within asset management, capital works or asset-intensive environments will be highly regarded.
