Located midway between Brisbane and Cairns, Mackay is a vibrant tropical coastal city known as Australia's sugar capital. This busy community pharmacy is conveniently located within one of Mackay's largest shopping centres, providing a welcoming and supportive working workplace.

Dates and Hours: Open to Multiple locums but preference given to locums who can work multiple shifts in the first instance.

Week 1

Tuesday 5 January: 8:30am - 6:00pm (30-minute break).
Thursday 7 January: 9:00am - 6:00pm (30-minute break).
Friday 8 January: 8:30am - 6:00pm (30-minute break).
Saturday 9 January: 8:30am - 3:00pm (No break).
Sunday 10 January: 9:00am - 3:00pm (No break).

Week 2

Wednesday 13 January: 8:30am - 6:00pm (30-minute break).
Thursday 14 January: 8:30am - 6:00pm (30-minute break).
Friday 15 January: 8:30am - 6:00pm (30-minute break).

Week 3

Thursday 21 January: 9:00am - 6:00pm (30-minute break).
Friday 22 January: 8:30am - 6:00pm (30-minute break).
Saturday 23 January: 8:30am - 3:00pm (No break).
Sunday 24 January: 9:00am - 3:00pm (No break).

Week 4

Wednesday 27 January: 9:30am - 6:00pm (30-minute break).
Thursday 28 January: 9:30am - 6:00pm (30-minute break) .

Job Specification:

You will be working as the sole Pharmacist on weekends and alongside one or two other Pharmacists during weekday shifts, using Dispense Works to manage a low to medium script trade. The pharmacy has a supportive team, including a Dispensary Technician and approximately 4-5 front-of-shop staff on most shifts.

Your responsibilities will include general dispensing duties, checking DAAs, providing professional patient counselling and delivering excellent customer service. There is no methadone dispensing. Vaccinations will form part of your duties if you are accredited.

Experience Required:

- Current registration as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Community pharmacy experience and strong customer service skills essential.
- Experience with Dispense Works preferred but not essential.
- Confidence working as a sole Pharmacist on weekend shifts essential.
- Queensland vaccination accreditation preferred but not essential.

Salary & Benefits :(Paid by Raven's )

Monday - Friday: $75/hr + Super.
Saturday: $80/hr + Super.
Sunday: $85/hr + Super.

Travel: Flights or mileage reimbursement at $1.01/km will be provided where travel from home exceeds 45 minutes, as estimated by Google Maps. Preference will be given to local Pharmacists.

Accommodation Provided: Motel Northview Mackay, conveniently located approximately a 10-minute walk from the pharmacy.
