The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Business Services Manager ready to step into a Senior Manager position, or an established Senior Manager looking for greater autonomy and a genuine pathway to Partnership?

Our client is a highly regarded, established boutique chartered accounting and advisory firm based in Sydney CBD.

With over $5 million in annual fees across its broader service offering, the firm advises successful business owners, high-net-worth families and privately owned businesses, including substantial private groups with turnover exceeding $100 million.

The firm combines traditional Business Services and Tax with broader advisory capabilities, providing clients with a comprehensive range of accounting, taxation and commercial advice.

Due to continued growth, an prospect has arisen for an experienced Business Services Senior Manager to take ownership of an established client portfolio, lead and develop a team, and work closely with the Director on complex client matters.

You will take responsibility for managing an established portfolio of private clients, overseeing compliance delivery and providing proactive business and taxation advice.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Manage and develop relationships with high-net-worth families, private business owners and SME clients
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements,



income tax returns and other compliance requirements
- Provide practical tax planning, business structuring and general business advisory advice
- Act as a trusted adviser to clients, developing a strong understanding of their businesses and financial objectives
- Lead client meetings and provide proactive commercial and taxation advice
- Manage workflow, budgets, deadlines and quality across your client portfolio
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of accountants
- Work directly with the Director on complex client matters and strategic initiatives
- Identify opportunities to introduce clients to the firm's broader advisory services, including SMSF, corporate finance and audit
- Contribute to the continued growth and development of the practice

The role offers an attractive balance of client relationship management, technical oversight, advisory work and team leadership, without the layers of management typically found in larger firms.

About You

We are interested in speaking with experienced Business Services Managers and Senior Managers who enjoy client interaction, take ownership of their work and are seeking a long-term leadership opportunity.

Ideally, you will bring:

- CA or CPA qualification
- Strong experience in Business Services and Tax within an Australian chartered accounting firm
- Experience managing a portfolio of SME,



private business or high-net-worth clients
- Sound technical knowledge of financial reporting, taxation and business structures
- Experience reviewing work and mentoring accountants
- Confidence dealing directly with business owners and senior client stakeholders
- A commercial mindset and a genuine interest in helping clients grow and succeed
- Ambition to progress into a senior leadership position and potentially Partnership

Most importantly, you will be someone who enjoys building long-term client relationships, developing people and making a meaningful contribution to a successful practice.
