MEGT is seeking a motivated, reliable and hardworking individual to commence a Tiling Apprenticeship in January 2027!

Are you someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in doing a job properly and is eager to learn a new trade? This could be the perfect opportunity to get your foot in the door!

No previous tiling experience or pre-apprenticeship is required. You'll receive hands-on training from an experienced tradesperson while developing the skills and knowledge to become a qualified wall and floor tiler.

What will you be doing?

You'll gain practical experience across all aspects of wall and floor tiling, including:

- Preparing floors and walls for tiling.
- Measuring surfaces and accurately setting out tile layouts.
- Mixing adhesives, cement and grouts.
- Cutting tiles using tile cutters and angle grinders.
- Assisting with laying, positioning and grouting tiles.
- Loading and unloading materials, including bags of tile adhesive (up to 20kg) and boxes of tiles.
- Learning to safely use a variety of hand and power tools.
- Setting up and packing away tools and equipment.
- General worksite cleaning and housekeeping.
- Developing the skills required to produce a high-quality finished job.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is:

- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Keen to learn and develop new skills.
- Interested in practical, hands-on work.
- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and takes pride in doing a job properly.
- Comfortable with manual handling, including lifting bags of adhesive and boxes of tiles weighing 20kg or more.
- Comfortable with early starts and working outdoors or on different job sites.

A driver's licence and reliable transport are preferred.



Applicants must have their own reliable transport or be able to arrange drop-off and pick-up from Adare.

No previous tiling experience or pre-apprenticeship is necessary! Your attitude, commitment and willingness to learn are what matter most.

What's on offer?

- Full-time, paid apprenticeship.
- Earn while you learn and work towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling.
- Hands-on training and guidance from an experienced tradesperson.
- Opportunity to develop valuable skills in a growing trade.
- Uniforms and PPE provided.
- Monday to Friday - no weekend work.
- Usual working hours of 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.
- Some flexibility with finishing times, depending on the day's workload, with occasional early finishes and overtime available.

The business provides professional wall and floor tiling services across residential and commercial projects, including bathrooms, main floors, repairs, new builds and renovations throughout the Lockyer Valley, Ipswich and Toowoomba regions.
