We are partnering with a respected local government organisation seeking an experienced Applications Specialist for an initial 3-month engagement. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse application landscape, supporting business users, driving system improvements and ensuring the ongoing reliability of key enterprise platforms.
The Role
As Applications Administrator, you will be responsible for the support, maintenance and enhancement of business-critical applications. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to troubleshoot issues, coordinate upgrades, improve system functionality and deliver a high level of service to end users.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support a range of enterprise applications.
- Provide application support and issue resolution for business users.
- Coordinate application upgrades, testing and release activities.
- Analyse business requirements and recommend system improvements.
- Assist with reporting, data management and system integrations.
- Maintain application documentation, procedures and knowledge articles.
- Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal application performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and application-related projects.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- Experience administering and supporting enterprise applications.
- Robust troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with application upgrades, testing and change processes.
- Exposure to SQL, reporting tools or data analysis.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Previous experience within local government, education or a similarly complex environment will be highly regarded.
