The Company

Our client is a diverse and evolving organisation with operations spanning aviation, hospitality, and tourism. With a strong focus on operational improvement and future growth, the business is investing in uplifting workplace health and safety practices across multiple areas of the operation.

This is an opportunity to join a supportive leadership team that recognises there is significant work to be done and is committed to backing the right person through that journey.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Workplace Health & Safety Advisor to join the Aviation and Quality team.

This is a standalone specialist role, suited to a self-driven and capable WHS professional who enjoys owning their remit and making meaningful progress across a broad operational environment. As the subject matter expert, you will take the lead on a wide range of WHS priorities, helping to get key initiatives off the ground and driving practical safety improvements across the business.

While the role sits within the Aviation and Quality team, direct aviation experience is not essential. What matters most is a genuine interest in aviation, a strong WHS foundation and the ability to work confidently and independently.

There are a number of projects and WHS priorities requiring attention, making this an ideal role for someone who is proactive, resilient and motivated by the opportunity to build, improve and influence.

Your Profile

You are a hands-on WHS professional who can step into a standalone role and confidently manage competing priorities.

You bring strong technical knowledge, sound judgement and the personality to build relationships across diverse teams.

You will ideally offer:

- Proven experience in workplace health and safety advisory roles
- The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of outcomes
- Robust subject matter expertise across WHS systems, compliance and operational safety
- A practical, solutions-focused approach with the ability to get things moving
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to support uplift across multiple business areas
- Experience in complex operational environments such as camps, remote accommodation, hospitality, mining or similar settings will be highly regarded
- An interest in aviation and a willingness to learn the operational nuances of the sector
