• Opportunity to build and lead a team for the right candidate The Prospect Fyfe is strengthening its renewable energy capability, and we're looking for a highly experienced and credible civil engineering leader to help shape what comes next. As our Lead/Principal Civil Engineer – Renewables, you'll provide senior technical direction and lead the delivery of complex civil design across utility-scale Solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems and Wind projects. With the opportunity to build and you're your own team, you'll operate with significant technical independence while working closely with structural engineers, designers, drafters, project leaders and multidisciplinary teams. You'll influence design quality, constructability and safe project delivery, while providing the technical leadership that helps our engineers and graduates perform at their best. The Impact You'll Have
• Lead complex civil designs, calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports for utility-scale Solar, BESS and Wind projects.
• Shape civil solutions across stormwater and drainage, access roads, bulk earthworks, site grading, erosion and sediment control, crossings, utilities, hardstands, equipment pads and substation platforms.
• Establish project design criteria and lead technical, constructability, interdisciplinary, peer and risk reviews.




• Provide senior technical oversight across project scope, programme, budget, quality, commercial requirements and management of change.
• Act as a trusted technical contact for clients, contractors, asset owners, councils, consultants and regulatory authorities.
• Strengthen Fyfe's civil engineering capability through technical guidance, coaching, work allocation, consistent checking practices and knowledge sharing. What You'll Bring You'll be a highly experienced civil engineer with established industry credibility and the professional judgement to lead complex renewable energy design within an Australian consultancy environment.
• Substantial civil engineering design consultancy experience on Australian renewable energy projects, including Solar, BESS and/or Wind.
• A Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering or another recognised related engineering qualification.
• Chartered Engineer status, RPEQ or RPEV registration, with at least one of these credentials required.
• Advanced civil design capability across drainage, roads, earthworks, site grading and associated renewable energy infrastructure.
• Experience leading technical reviews and delivering projects or major work packages across scope, programme, budget and quality.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, codes, regulatory requirements, client specifications and safe-design obligations.




• The ability to guide and develop engineers and graduates, communicate technical risks clearly and build trusted stakeholder relationships. It would be advantageous if you also have design experience with concrete foundations, piles, equipment supports or equipment pads for renewable energy infrastructure. Why Fyfe?
