About Structhaven

Structhaven Pty Ltd is a growing Australian building design and drafting consultancy providing architectural, structural and civil documentation services for residential and commercial projects across Australia.

As our project workload continues to increase, we're looking for an experienced Senior Drafting & Design Quality Checker to assist with reviewing drawing packages before they're issued to clients.

About the Role

This is a remote, project-based contract position working alongside our existing network of designers and draftspersons.

Your primary responsibility will be to independently review completed drawing packages, identify errors or inconsistencies, and ensure documentation meets our internal quality standards and agreed project requirements.

We're looking for someone who can confidently assess technical drawings, identify potential issues and provide clear, practical feedback to the drafting team.

Key Responsibilities

- Review architectural, structural and civil drawing packages for accuracy, completeness and consistency.
- Identify drafting errors, missing dimensions, conflicting information and documentation discrepancies.
- Check drawings against project briefs, client instructions and supplied reference documentation.
- Review drawing presentation, annotations, schedules, title blocks and general drawing standards.
- Identify potential compliance concerns relating to the NCC, applicable Australian Standards and local authority requirements.
- Provide clear, marked-up feedback to designers for correction.




- Verify that identified issues have been addressed before final documentation is issued.
- Assist with maintaining consistent documentation standards across projects.

About You

We're ideally looking for someone with:
- 4-8+ years of experience in architectural drafting, building design, engineering drafting or technical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of Australian construction methods, building practices and documentation requirements.
- Experience reviewing residential and commercial projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and PDF review software.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Solid written communication skills.
- A practical understanding of design coordination and documentation quality.

Experience in a senior drafting, design coordination or quality assurance role would be highly regarded.
