Want a better career, a real team and an employer you trust? Get it done at M2P M2P Engineering is an Australian-owned heavy industrial construction, engineering and fabrication company specialising in structural, mechanical and piping works across mining, energy and industry.
From our fabrication workshops in Salisbury, Orange and Adelaide to project sites across Australia, there’s plenty happening—and a reliable supply chain is essential to getting it done.
We’re looking for a Supply Chain Officer to join our Spring Hill head office in Brisbane and help keep our workshops and projects moving. If you enjoy taking ownership, solving problems and seeing your work make a difference, this is an opportunity to do exactly that.
Your opportunity
Supply Chain Officer
M2P Engineering
Brisbane, Queensland > Spring Hill
Full Time
This role puts you at the centre of purchasing and supply activities supporting our workshops and projects nationwide.
The work is wide-ranging, and priorities can move quickly. One day might involve sourcing materials for an upcoming project; another, negotiating a better price or coordinating a critical delivery to a remote site. Throughout it all, the goal is clear: get our teams what they need, when they need it, at the right quality and cost.
Working closely with project teams, operations, suppliers and accounts payable, you’ll manage purchases from initial requirements through to delivery and close-out. Planning ahead matters just as much as responding quickly—identifying long lead times, anticipating shortages and keeping people informed before a supply issue affects the schedule.
There’s room to make things work better, too. Whether it’s consolidating orders, developing alternative suppliers or improving purchasing processes,
there’s scope to make a difference to how we work.
What You Will Do
- Own the purchasing process: turn approved requisitions into accurate purchase orders and manage them through delivery, reconciliation and close-out.
- Secure the right supply: source materials, equipment and services, evaluate quotations and support tender assessments against specifications, budgets and timeframes.
- Negotiate value: agree pricing, delivery schedules and commercial terms within delegated authority, including opportunities for volume discounts and consolidated purchasing.
- Keep deliveries moving: expedite orders, coordinate freight, delivery documentation and site receiving requirements, and resolve shortages or delays with suppliers and project teams.
- Build reliable supplier relationships: monitor pricing, quality and delivery performance, address issues and escalate ongoing concerns, and develop alternative sources to support continuity of supply.
- Keep the details right: maintain accurate coding, approvals, purchasing records, quality certificates and material traceability documentation; resolve invoice discrepancies, returns and credits.
What You’ll Bring To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Purchasing, procurement or supply chain experience in engineering, construction, fabrication or a similar industrial environment.
- Knowledge of industrial materials, equipment and consumables, backed by experience sourcing suppliers, negotiating terms and managing orders.
- The organisation and practical judgement to balance competing priorities, coordinate deliveries and work through supply issues.
- Strong attention to detail across purchasing records, approvals, quality documentation and invoice reconciliation, with confidence using ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- An approachable communication style,
the confidence to follow things up and a commitment to seeing the job through.
Experience with IFS, remote project logistics and supplier quality documentation would be highly regarded. Why M2P Engineering? We’ve come a long way since starting out in 2017. Right from the beginning, we brought a different approach to engineering construction in the mining, industrial and marine sectors. A better way, built on smarter thinking and real care – about the job, the client and the team.

- A Brisbane head office role with variety across purchasing, supplier management, logistics and project support.
- The chance to take ownership and contribute improvements that save time, reduce costs and make delivery more reliable.
- Access to experienced engineering, construction, operations and commercial teams, with a flat management structure and access to business leaders.
