Help keep the Festival running smoothlyWe’re looking for someone who loves valuable systems, enjoys solving problems and understands that when it comes to ticketing, the details really matter.

The Ticketing & Office Manager is primarily responsible for managing Festival of Voices' ticketing operations, from building events and managing inventory through to customer bookings, reporting, box office operations and post-festival reconciliations.

At the heart of the role is Red61, our ticketing system. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the system and making sure our events, prices, discounts, ticket allocations, customer communications and sales reporting are accurate and working as they should.

You’ll also provide some office and systems support across our small team, but ticketing is the primary focus of this position.

If you're someone who enjoys systems, can keep track of lots of moving parts and stays calm when something isn't quite working the way it should, we'd love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doingThere is plenty of variety, but your main focus will be managing ticketing from event setup through to final reconciliation.

You’ll be responsible for things like:

- Administering Red61 and managing the Festival's ticketing setup.
- Setting up events, pricing, discounts, packages, seating plans and ticket inventory.
- Managing customer bookings, exchanges, enquiries and ticketing issues.
- Making sure automated confirmations, pre-event information and other ticketing communications are accurate.
- Monitoring ticket sales and preparing regular sales reports, projections and comparative analysis.
- Preparing ticketing reports for producers, venues, artist managers and the Festival team.

- Coordinating venue allocations, seating plans and ticketing logistics.
- Managing box office operations before and during the Festival.
- Training and supporting box office and front-of-house staff and volunteers in our ticketing systems.
- Supporting customers with accessibility requirements and helping make their Festival experience as straightforward as possible.
- Managing Festival merchandise sales and our pay-it-forward initiative.
- Completing ticketing and revenue reconciliations after events and at the end of the Festival.
- Providing accurate ticketing and attendance data for reporting, funding applications and acquittals.

Alongside ticketing, you’ll provide practical operational and office support, including maintaining systems, coordinating IT or facilities issues when needed, and helping the wider team keep things running smoothly.

Who we're looking forMost importantly, we want someone comfortable working with systems and data who can take responsibility for getting the details right.

Ideally, you'll bring experience administering a ticketing, booking, database or CRM system.

Experience with Red61 would be a significant advantage, but we’re also interested in people who have managed comparable ticketing systems and are confident learning new technology.

You’ll probably be someone who:

- Is very organised and methodical
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is comfortable working with numbers, reports and reconciliations
- Enjoys troubleshooting problems and finding solutions
- Can manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Communicates clearly with customers, colleagues and external stakeholders
- Is confident learning and working across digital systems
- Can work independently and knows when to ask for help
- Remains practical and responsive when things get busy

Experience in festivals, arts, events,

venues, or ticketing would be highly regarded, but we're also interested in transferable experience.

What’s in it for you?A role that matters. Ticketing sits at the centre of the audience experience. Your work helps thousands of people find, book and enjoy Festival events.

A proper handover. As this is parental leave cover, there will be a transition period before the leave begins so you have time to understand our systems, processes and Festival cycle.

Variety. You’ll work across ticketing, customer service, reporting, venues, box office operations and some office systems.

A good team around you. We’re a small team delivering a large Festival, and we work closely together when things get busy.

Flexibility. Workload changes across the Festival cycle, with quieter planning periods and significantly busier periods around on-sales and Festival delivery.

Meaningful work. Festival of Voices is about bringing people together through singing, music and participation.

Who we areFestival of Voices is Tasmania's original marquee winter event and Australia's premier celebration of singing. For more than 20 years, we've brought people together through concerts, workshops, community events and participatory singing experiences.

We’re a small not-for-profit organisation with a big output, and everyone in our team plays an important part.
