About the role
Virtus Infrastructure is a civil and infrastructure construction company delivering projects across New South Wales and interstate. In this role, you'll make sure our projects have the right people, in the right place, at the right time. You'll manage end-to-end recruitment for our site workforce, build a solid pipeline of candidates and labour hire partners, and make sure every new starter is onboarded, compliant and ready to work.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for project and site roles: take briefs from site teams, write and post job ads, screen and shortlist candidates, coordinate interviews and manage offers.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline of tradespeople, operators and labourers so roles can be filled quickly.
- Engage and manage labour hire providers and vendors, including rates, agreements and performance.
- Partner with site teams to forecast resourcing needs and keep staffing levels consistent across all worksites.
- Prepare and send the weekly roster so site teams have clear visibility of upcoming resourcing.
- Coordinate onboarding for new starters, including contracts, inductions and first-day logistics.
- Manage workforce compliance in SiteDocs, including profiles, tickets, licences and qualifications, so workers are cleared for site before they start.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, site managers and supervisors, acting as a key point of contact for their resourcing needs.
- Visit project sites from time to time to meet with site teams,
understand workforce requirements firsthand, and strengthen relationships with clients and workers.
- Act as the main point of contact for candidates, providing a positive and professional experience throughout the process.
- Use Monday.com to track recruitment progress, vacancies and resourcing issues.
- Report regularly on hiring activity, time-to-fill and upcoming workforce needs.
About you
- Outgoing, confident and genuinely enjoys talking to people.
- Comfortable on the phone all day and proactive about picking it up.
- A natural relationship builder who takes the lead and follows things through.
- At least 2 years’ experience in recruitment, resourcing or workforce coordination, ideally in construction, infrastructure or labour hire, with a strong focus on client relationships.
- Experience in high-volume or trades recruitment is highly regarded.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Monday.com or SiteDocs experience is a bonus.
- Strong organisation and time management, with high attention to detail.
- Construction Induction (White Card) and a current driver's licence.
Benefits
- An immediate start with full training provided.
- A small, close-knit office team that is open, positive and supportive.
- Professional development opportunities.
- Flexibility to choose your start time (e.g. 7am–3pm, 8am–4pm or 9am–5pm) once training is complete.
