ABOUT THE POSITION.

As a Floodplain and Stormwater Engineer, you will work closely with developers, applicants and residents to provide expert advice on flood and stormwater matters relating to properties and developments. You will also be responsible for delivering detailed stormwater, flood and water quality designs and assessments, undertaking flood modelling and preparing relevant flood certificates.

DUTIES.

- Develop processes and methods to facilitate easy access to flood information
- Manage consultants and developers to ensure projects meet deadlines
- Ensure designs and reviews are carried out aligning with Council's standards and regulations
- Coordinate delivery of flood studies,



floodplain risk management and stormwater designs

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.

- Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant qualifications
- Previous experience in Local Government is highly desirable
- Proficiency in GIS, TUFLOW, HECS and/or DRAINS
- High level of attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
