Help people choose floors they'll love for years, and be paid well for it. National Floors is hiring Retail Sales Consultants for our Werribee, Dandenong and Thomastown showrooms. If you can sell, we'll teach you flooring.

At a glance

- $70,000 base + super + uncapped commission
- Full-time, six-day roster, Monday to Saturday
- One showroom as your base: Werribee, Dandenong or Thomastown
- A clear path to branch manager

Why you'll want this job

- Uncapped commission. It sits on top of your base: the more you sell, the more you earn.
- Customers come to you. You work showroom walk-ins and leads, then visit their homes to measure and quote.
- You sell the whole job. Product and installation, with a network of installers behind every sale.
- Your time goes on selling. Head office handles accounts, purchasing and order admin, and you quote and order on our own in-house platform.
- Training that sets you up. Full paid onboarding, then ongoing product and sales training with regular coaching.
- A team that plays to win. A live sales scoreboard, recognition for results and a high-performing team around you.
- Room to move up. A clear path from sales consultant to branch manager as we grow.

About us

National Floors Australia is one of the country's fastest-growing flooring retailers. Since 2015 we've helped more than 10,000 customers create homes they love. Our range covers engineered and solid timber, hybrid, laminate, vinyl plank and sheet, carpet and carpet tiles, tiles and rugs.

Your day

About 60–70% of your time is on the showroom floor, and the rest is out measuring and quoting in customers' homes. You'll:

- Welcome customers, find out what they need and recommend the right floor for their home and budget
- Measure up and prepare accurate quotes, including scotia, trims and carpet removal
- Negotiate confidently, protect your margin and close the sale
- Take deposits and put orders through our system (full training provided)

- Follow up every open quote and lead until you have an answer
- Keep the showroom looking its best

This role suits someone who likes being measured. You'll have a clear monthly target, a live scoreboard and commission that rewards results. We hold a high standard, and we back it with real training and coaching.

Your first 90 days

- First 30 days: paid training on our range, our quoting system and the showroom, and you're selling on the floor
- By day 90: you're tracking to your monthly target, with a clear next step on every open quote

You'll be great here if you

- Have 1+ year in sales and a strong record of closing
- Enjoy working to clear targets and like being paid on results
- Are confident with numbers: measuring, quoting and margins
- Love working with people and build trust quickly
- Take coaching well and keep learning
- Follow up without being chased
- Can work full-time on a six-day roster, Monday to Saturday, with a reliable commute to Werribee, Dandenong or Thomastown
- Have Australian work rights

Bonus points for a driver's licence and car for in-home measures, and for flooring, building-products or home-improvement sales experience. Coming from furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, cars or phones? Your sales skills carry straight over, and we'll teach you the product.

- A quick 15-minute Zoom chat with HR
