About Us

Oli’s Café & Diner is a busy, well-established café in the heart of Miranda, known for great coffee, fresh food and a welcoming atmosphere.

We’re looking for a passionate and reliable Level 2 Cook to join our friendly kitchen team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced café setting, takes pride in food presentation and wants to be part of a supportive, growing business.

About the Role

The position will initially be 3 days per week (2 weekdays and 1 weekend day), with the opportunity to increase to full-time hours for the right person or if you would like to.

You'll be working alongside our existing kitchen team, preparing and presenting a range of breakfast and lunch dishes.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing and cooking breakfast and lunch dishes to a consistently high standard
- Ensuring food is fresh, well-presented and delivered efficiently
- Assisting with daily food preparation and kitchen organisation
- Maintaining food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Working collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Assisting with stock rotation, portion control and minimising food waste
- Contributing ideas for menu improvements and daily specials
- Assisting with in-house baking and pastry preparation where experienced

About You

We're looking for someone who:

- Has previous experience working as a cook in a busy café or similar hospitality environment
- Is confident preparing breakfast and lunch dishes




- Can work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality
- Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in food presentation
- Is organised, reliable and works well within a team
- Has a positive attitude and a genuine passion for food
- Is available to work one weekend day

Experience with baking, pastries or café-style baked goods would be a fantastic bonus, but is not essential.

Our Trading Hours

Monday–Saturday: 6:00am–2:00pm
Sunday: 8:00am–2:00pm

Shift times may include preparation before opening and cleaning after closing.
