FRONT OF HOUSE/CLUB HOST
Neighbourhood Padel and Pickleball
Alexandria, Sydney
Neighbourhood Padel and Pickleball is inner Sydney's first boutique padel club, where sport, social connection and lifestyle come together.
We are looking for a confident, outgoing and proactive Front of House Host who wants to be part of redefining a new sporting tradition, sitting at the intersection of padel, belonging and community.
THE ROLE
As a Club host, you will be a familiar face of Neighbourhood Padel and Pickleball and an integral part of our team. You will play a central role in shaping the daily club experience, building relationships with members, welcoming new faces and bringing the energy and personality that make people feel part of something.
Combining hospitality, customer experience and club operations, this is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys connecting with people, takes pride in their environment and understands the value of creating something special.
What you will do
- Be the face of Neighbourhood: Create a warm, confident and memorable first impression for everyone who walks through our doors.
- Build relationships: Get to know our members, welcome new faces and foster the connections that turn a club into a community.
- Own the experience: Manage reception, enquiries, bookings, payments and daily member interactions, ensuring every touchpoint reflects our standards.
- Support hospitality: Assist with café operations and maintain the high standards of service, cleanliness and presentation expected of a boutique club.
- Bring the club to life: Help organise and run tournaments, events and social activities that bring people together.
- Take ownership: Show initiative,
support your colleagues and contribute to the smooth running and continued growth of the club as part of our core team.
WHO YOU ARE
- Naturally outgoing, approachable and confident.
- A strong communicator who genuinely enjoys interacting with people.
- Proactive, reliable and comfortable taking ownership.
- Attentive to detail and takes pride in presentation.
- A team player who enjoys contributing ideas and getting involved.
- Comfortable in a social, fast-paced hospitality workplace.
- Interested in sport, fitness, lifestyle or community.
Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, fitness or events is valued, but not essential. Personality, attitude and initiative matter just as much as experience.
WHAT NEIGHBOURHOOD BRINGS
Our purpose is caring for our staff and customers, every single day. That starts with the team. We look after each other first, so we can look after everyone who walks through the door.
We sweat the details. From how the club looks and sounds to how a new member is greeted, we believe the little things make the biggest difference. The same care goes into how we treat the people who work here.
We invest in you.
You'll receive proper onboarding, hands-on training and opportunities to develop well beyond the responsibilities of your initial role.
- Upskilling: Learn the club, the sport and the business,
not just your own role.
- Leadership: Take on responsibility early and develop the confidence and skills to lead.
- Sales training: Build practical sales and communication skills that you can take into any career.
- Creative opportunities: Help shape events, socials and community projects, with the opportunity to see your ideas come to life.
A place to grow.
We are building something new, and there is room to grow with us. Whether your interests develop towards coaching, our academy, community engagement, events, tournaments, marketing or club leadership, we want to create opportunities for our people to progress.
We would rather develop our own people than always look outside for our next leaders.
