We’re gauging expressions of interest for a general dentist on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

Kawana Dental is a well-established, family-owned, non-corporate practice that’s been growing for 39 years, located 2 minutes from Buddina beach.

If you haven’t spent time on the Sunshine Coast, it’s about an hour north of Brisbane, with beaches, hinterland, and a relaxed lifestyle without the big city traffic. It’s a great place to live, whether you surf, have a young family, or just want more balance.

We’re currently 9 chairs, with 9 dentists, 1 hygienist and 3 oral health therapists, and we offer a full range of dentistry including comprehensive orthodontics. You’ll have an experienced clinical and admin team behind you, along with digital scanners, CEREC, CBCT and OPG, surgical implant kits, nitrous and IV sedation, and a large range of materials. We are also the accredited partner for NextSmile All-on-4 on the Sunshine Coast.

Our approach is comprehensive, ethical dentistry: thorough diagnosis, clear options with honest pros,



cons, and costs. Done well, that builds trust, and trust builds a full book.

We’re looking for someone happy, humble, compassionate, and cool & calm under pressure. Someone patients rave about and nurses love working with. Most importantly, you’ll be an excellent communicator with both patients and the wider team.

Clinically, you’ll have at least 2 years of experience and be comfortable with day-to-day general dentistry, including emergencies and getting people out of pain. A special interest or extra skill set, such as implant surgery or cosmetic dentistry, would be a bonus.

For the right person, we’re anticipating a full time position starting in 2027, however there is currently scope for part-time days prior.
